Learning lowercase cursive is much easier when you group letters by their initial stroke movements:

A recommended lowercase practice order
Begin with repeated motions before combining families. Try i–u–w–t, then a–c–d–g–o, followed by m–n–h and the descenders j–p–y–z.
Lowercase shapes learners often confuse
Compare a and o by their closing stroke, m and n by the number of humps, and e and l by height. For high-exit letters such as o, practice the join as a pair so the following letter starts from the correct level.
